IFES Europe is part of an international movement of students sharing and living out the good news of Jesus Christ. 40 IFES movements with over 600 staff connect students across Europe.
Their vision is to see students built into communities of disciples, transformed by the gospel and impacting the university, the church and society for the glory of God. Students bring light and hope to their fellow students by sharing the gospel and embodying the love of Christ in authentic student communities.
Within Europe there are founder IFES movements, pioneering situations and everything in between. GBU Belgium is in a state of repioneering, NKSS Norway has already existed for 92 years, whilst the Balkan countries seek to find their unity in Christ in the midst of historical and political conflicts. This is IFES Europe.
The Regional Secretary, Tor Erling Fagermoen, heads up the regional team and together they train and equip staff, board members, student leaders and key graduates through a range of regional networks and training programs. General Secretaries are supported through regular cluster group meetings and experienced staff and volunteers can participate in the InterAction programme to work in specific movements or in pioneering new groups.
